Announcement: 

UWC Ethiopia is pleased to announce the opening of the UWC Application for the 2025-2027 academic years for students/applicants interested in investing in their future with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma from the United World Colleges around the world.

Applicant eligibility requirements: 

• Must be in grades 11th or 12th at the time of application
• Must be aged 16- 18.5 years by September 30, 2025. (Must have been born between April 1, 2007, and August 31, 2009). 
• Excellent academic standing 
• Demonstrates exceptional leadership, community involvement, and active participation in extracurricular pursuits
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in the English language
• Be an Ethiopian citizen or permanent resident.

Applicants are also required to attach the following supporting documents:

• Photo/Portrait (taken within the last 6 months)
• School Report Card/Transcripts for 9th and 10 grades (If you are currently in the 12th grade, please also submit your 11th grade report cards)
• Recommendation letters (minimum 2, from teachers and activity/leadership supervisors. 
• Proof of academic/non-academic achievements and leadership (certificates, awards, etc.)

Deadline: Sunday, 12 January 2025 (ከለሊቱ 6:00 ሰአት)

The application form contains multiple sections and several essay questions, so please plan accordingly. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
